Pick-up by your English speaking guide at Chiangrai Airport – Transfer by private a/c vehicle to your hotel

Visit the city of Chiangrai, including the local market, the ‘Black House’ and the famous White Temple

Day 2 Chiangrai

Breakfast served in your hotel.

 

Morning:

Pick-up by your guide at your hotel after breakfast. Private tour with vehicle and driver – Visit Mae Salong village – Tea plantations and factory – Discover the village, its panoramas and the old settlement of the Chinese soldiers (Kuomintang)

 

Lunch served in a local restaurant

 

Afternoon:

Visit villages inhabited by ethnic minorities, including a village of the Padaung ethnic group (giraffe women) – Back to your hotel by late afternoon

Day 3 Chiangrai

Breakfast served in your hotel

 

Morning:

Pick-up by your guide at your hotel lobby after breakfast. Private tour with vehicle and driver – Visit the border village of Mae Sai and its market – Cross the border with Myanmar (no visa required for this short tour) and visit the city of Takhileik (market, Shan village, etc…) – Back to Thailand

 

Lunch served in a local restaurant

 

Afternoon:

Visit the famous Golden Triangle, including Ho Fin (Hall of Opium) and a stop at the belvedere overlooking Laos and Myanmar – Short trip on Mekong River down to Chiangsaen by motorized pirogue – Visit the remains of the ancient city of Chiangsaen – Back to your hotel by late afternoon

Day 4 Chiangrai

Morning:

Pick-up by your guide at your hotel lobby after breakfast. Private tour with vehicle and driver - Visit the extraordinary Doi Tung dominion (Royal Villa, Inspiration Hall and the beautiful botanical garden) – Back to Chiangrai and drop-off at the airport or at your hotel (if you want to extend your stay in the region)
