Day 2 Chiangrai - Mae Sai - Takileik - Kengtung

Pick-up by your English speaking guide at your hotel lobby – Transfer to the border with Myanmar – Special formalities to enter Myanmar at the Mae Sai border – Meet your local English speaking guide, who will escort you through this program in Myanmar

 

Transfer by a/c vehicle towards Kentung – Short stops on the way to take pictures

Afternoon:

Visit Wan Pauk: a village of ‘Palaung’ ethnic (Sub-division of De’ang ethnic). They wear beautiful red color clothes and silver jewels.

Day 3 Kengtung

Breakfast served in your hotel.

 

Morning:

Pick-up at the reception of your hotel by your English speaking guide – Morning transfer by private vehicle to the part of the region you will explore today – Visit of Pintauk: A village of Lahu ethnic – Soft trek to villages of Akha y Ann ethnics

 

Lunch at leisure and not included

Afternoon:

You will carry on the trek to a village where local rice alcohol is being produced on a very rural way – Transfer back to your hotel by end afternoon

Day 4 Kengtung

Morning:

Pick-up at the reception of your hotel by your English speaking guide – Morning transfer by private vehicle to the part of the region you will explore today – Visit of Dhat Zoam Doi a village featuring a very antique and rural temple – Visit to other villages of Akha and Ann ethnics

Afternoon:

Visit the temple of Naing Ngan Aye and its old Buddha statues - Transfer back to your hotel by end afternoon

Day 5 Kengtung

Morning:

Pick-up at the reception of your hotel by your English speaking guide – Morning transfer by private vehicle to the center of Kentung – Discovery of the small city of Kentung, its local market and other interesting places – Walk along the Lake neighborhood

Afternoon:

Transfer back to the Thai border at Mae Sai - Short stops on the way to take pictures -  Formalities to enter Thailand at the Mae Sai border – Entering Thailand – Meet with your local guide and transfer to your hotel in Chiangrai or at the airport - End of the program
