Arrival at Chiangmai airport – Welcome by your English speaking local guide – Transfer by private a/c vehicle to your hotel (rooms available as from 2PM)

2 hours traditional Thai massage given in the vocational center of convicted women of the prison of Chiangmai (private transfer with guide included)

Day 2 Chiang Mai

Morning:

Visit the main highlights of Chiangmai – The Warorot Market, the remains of the old city wall, the most ancient temples in town (from outside only) and the famous Temple of Doi Suthep and its superb golden chedi

Afternoon:

At leisure to enjoy the city at your own pace, or to take part to an optional activity (cooking course or other)

Day 3 Chiang Mai

Morning:

Road to the mountains northward the city and to a ‘Royal Project’ (agricultural project of subsitution cultures to former poppy – today eradicated in Thailand) – Visit of the cultures and the small village populated by a Hmong ethnic community

 

Lunch served in the restaurant of the ‘Royal Project’ (organic farming products)

 

Afternoon:

Soft hiking downhill from the top of the mountain to the plain (4 hours soft slope), passing by the fields cultivated by Hmong people – Transfer back to your hotel by a/c vehicle

 

Dinner at leisure

Day 4 Chiang Mai

Pick-up by the staff of Patara elephant farm, at the reception of your hotel at 08h30

 

Morning:

Transfer towards the mountains of Samroeng – Arrival at the elephants’ farm and briefing about activities of the day – You will take care of your own elephant with the assistance of a local english speaking helper

Lunch served at the restaurant of the farm

Afternoon: 

Continuacion of the activity with elephants – Transfer back to your hotel by end of the day
