  Chiangrai shelters many ethnic minorities living according to their own traditions… Younger generations are integrated, speak Thai and wear western clothes… But elders keep using their own dialect which is originally from China, Burma, etc. and also wear their traditional clothes

   

  This said, at home, nothing has changed for them and they keep living like ancestors. Some of these minorities have converted to Catholicism, Buddhism or remained animists.

   

  During this excursion you will go to some of these hidden villages, where no tourists, or very few, use to go… You will see how these minorities live. You will interact with them through you guide.

  08h30 or 13h00 (Morning or afternoon tour) Pick-up at the lobby of your hotel by your English speaking guide and driver – Transfer straight to the first village

  -           Visit a village of ethnic YAO

  -           Visit a village of ethnic AKKHA

  -           Visit a village of ethnic PADAUNG (Long Neck)

  11h30 or 16h30 (Approximately) End of the tour and transfer back to your hotel
