FLOATING MARKET OF AMPHAWA

Most of the tourists visiting Bangkok dream about visiting the colorful ‘Damnoen Saduak’ floating market, but they ignore it is not the only one… Amphawa is propably even bigger than Damnoen Saduak even though the way it is organized is not exactly the same… In Damnoen Saduak, pirogue navigate on the canal, whilst in Amphawa, they are moored on the banks. Anyhow, Amphawa remains the preferred floating market for thai people and remains therefore very genuine and very local. Furthermore it is an afternoon and evening market (only organized on Sat and Sun)… So that one doesn’t have to wake up too early morning to discover this joyful attraction We bring you from your hotel in the morning by BTS to a Bangkok suburban railway station and there, you will embark on the train going to Mae Khlong. You will thus pass along the famous market that is being dismantled in seconds, to let the train passing on the tracks and immediately rebuilt, once the train passed away. After having seen this very unusual market, you will arrive at Amphawa by local tuktuk. There you will have time to discover the market, than we will bring you by boat to discover some places in the close vicinity and among them an old temple completely wrapped up in roots of a ficus tree. Finally, after visits are done, you will hang around on the market and enjoy its atmosphere. We will leave the market by public minivan back to Bangkok around 4PM
