AKSRA TRADITIONAL PUPPETS THEATRE


A SHOW in BANGKOK for people that want to see the traditional puppets. Located in the prestigious ‘King Power’ building [Downtown branch of the Airport Duty Free], AKSRA THEATER is one element of this prestigious complex. The SHOW in the THEATER is performed twice a week whilst the buffet dinner is accessible everyday. One is not obliged to eat there before attending the show, though the buffet is very varied and food is actually quite good. The theatre is sumptuously decorated with golden frescos depicting celestial beings on the walls. The show itself is a blend of classical puppets performance and traditional Thai folklore. The second is being danced by the puppeteers themselves whilst the first is a sublime ballet where puppets are delicately put in motion by very elegant puppeteers, accompanying each puppets motion by danced gestures. The show is as entertaining for kids as it is for adults and is really worth to be attended
