This short 2-day extension to the impressive and mystical Golden Rock completes most of our package tours in Burma.

Most of our programs include air transportation between Yangon and the North, so that the site of the Golden Rock is left aside from these itineraries. This short excursion is the appropriate answer to those willing to include the Golden Rock to their program in Myanmar.

We provide a car with A/C, gasoline and highway + checkpoint costs, a driver and an English speaking guide as well as the overnight in Kyaikhtiyo. On the way back to Yangon, you will halt in the old city of Bago (former Pegu), which was once the capital of the Mon Kingdom of Hongsawadi. At the end of this extension, you will be transferred back to your hotel in downtown Yangon or to Yangon airport (provided your flight leaves Yangon by late evening)

Day 1 Yangon - Bago – Kyaikhtiyo

Road from Yangon to Kyaikhtiyo – Short halt at the military cemetery of Htaukkyant – Arrival in Kyaikhtiyo – Drop-off at the lower camp, from where you will go up mountain – Transfer by local truck to the upper camp – You will continue walking towards the Golden Rock site (chairs with porters available on request – optional) – Visit the site – Walk down towards upper camp or hire a chair if needed – Road down by truck to the lower camp – Transfer by a/c vehicle to your hotel

Day 2 Kyaikhtiyo – Bago - Yangon
