OVER VIEW

Most of the time, the region of Lampang is forgotten by individual tourists. Not because it lacks interesting places to visit… Interesting places between Sukhothai and Chiangmai are numerous, but it is the public transportation that rallies interesting sites which lacks the most.

NSTRAVEL has decided to open this route and make possible to any one to discover the region on individual base and without depending on public transportation.


It is now possible to admire the superb ‘Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang’… A unique masterpiece of Lanna style… Many tourists fond of elephants can also discover the unique ‘Elephants Conservatory’ or admire the superb Chinese architecture of the bell tower and library of Wat Haripunchai in Lamphun. Finally one can stop at the forgotten historical park of Si-Sachanalai and admire some superb ruins.


This mini tour between Chiangmai & Sukhothai is a ‘2 days - 1 night’ little package operating everyday. It is a real ‘missing link between the Mountains and the Central Plain.
 


 
PROGRAMS
DAY 1: (Departure everyday)
MEALS: LUNCH / DINNER

- 08:00: Pick-up by English speaking guide in your hotel in Sukhothai – Journey by air conditioned vehicle up North, towards the ‘Historical Park of Si Satchanalai’.
- 09:00: Arrival at the park – visit the most important ruins of the park.


- 11:00: Road direct to Lampang.
- 12:30: (Approximately) Arrival at Lampang – Visit the superb Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang – Unique Lanna style massive teak wooden temple in Thailand, dating from the fourteen century. You will visit the main chapel, as well as the little museum and its beautiful jade Buddha statue - Lunch in local restaurant


- 14:30: (Approximately) Arrival in the hotel – Check in
- 15:00 (approximately) Departure by bicycle in the surrounding of the Lodge.

You will discover the rural life and its genuine Thai atmosphere (Pottery workshop – locals’ daily life – Paddy fields, etc.)
- 17:30: Back to the Lodge for some rest or to enjoy the swimming pool.
- 19:30: Dinner – Overnight

 

DAY 2
MEALS: BREAKFAST / LUNCH

Hearty breakfast in the hotel.
- 08:00: Departure by air conditioned vehicle and your English speaking guide to the ‘National Elephant Conservatory’.
- 09:00: (Approximately) Arrival at the Institute.
- 09:30: You will attend the Elephants bath show followed by Elephants show – It is possible to ride elephant on the site (+/- 20 minutes – optional and not included)
- 11:30: (Approximately) Departure to Lampun – Stop at Wat Haripunchai – Visit the beautiful chedi and the very originals Library and bell tower.
- 13:00: (Approximately) Lunch in local restaurant.
- 14:00: Before leaving Lampun, you will visit the Wat Phra Yeun, and admire its typical MON ethnic architecture.
- 16:00: (Approximately) Arrival in Chiangmai – drop off at the railway station – airport or main hotels downtown.

- End of program.
