OVER VIEW

Thailand is worldwide known for it is the first rice producer on earth. It is however less known that some mountains in the North host tea and coffee producing areas. Tea is cultivated on several mountains, among others Doi Wawee or Doi Mae Salong. Coffee has been cultivated since years in several Northern provinces: Nan, Chiangrai, Chiangmai, Mae Hong Son.
NSTRAVEL brings you to the real green. You will enjoy the serenity of living during 3 days in a pristine environment, discovering an unseen region where foreigners do not use to travel so often.
You will start this program by a walk in the nature (soft trek) towards isolated local ethnic villages. Minorities in Northern Thai territories are numerous and culturally rich. Most of them live simply and in perfect harmony to the nature.
After this first day introduction, you will discover the superb Doi Chang and will visit the coffee plantations nestled in superb surrounding. You will also enjoy the scenery of Doi Wawee and the oldest tea trees in Thailand. Finally you will either plant or crop rice (according to the season) with farmers. In addition to these ‘agro tourism’ experiences, you will meet locals working on the field or in local pottery factory, but you will also put the hand to the clay and will sculpt or paint your own pottery.

DAY 1: (Departure everyday)
MEALS: Lunch / Dinner
- Pick-up morning time in your hotel downtown Chiangrai or at Chiangrai airport. Transfer to Suanthip Vana Resort. Check-in.
- 11:30: (Approximately) Departure of the walk towards mountains ethnic villages. Lunch will be taken during the journey. The trek lasts about 5 hours on a distance of approximately 8 kilometers.
- 17:00: Back to the resort - Enjoy a period of relax before dinner
- 19:00: Dinner - Overnight
 

DAY 2:
MEALS: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
You will start your day with a hearty breakfast in the hotel.
- 08:30: Pick-up at the lobby of the resort and go up to Doi Chang hill for a full day discovering of the coffee plantations and other macadamia or hill fruit and flowers plantations (A lunch box is provided)
- 17:00: Back to the resort - Enjoy a period of relax before dinner
- 19:00: Dinner - Overnight

DAY 4:
MEALS: Breakfast / lunch
You will start your day with a hearty breakfast in the hotel.
- 08:30: Pick-up at the lobby of the resort and go down to Wieng Kalong. Wieng Kalong is very well known in Thailand for being an important center of pottery. This old city is related to the history of Buddhism in Northern Thailand.
You will participate to some fabrication processes like giving shape to a pot, or sculpting it and painting it. Before leaving the place, you will get one finished piece as memory of your handicraft experience.
By afternoon time, you will be brought back to Chiangrai downtown or airport.
